Base Rail

The base rail is the bottom metal track that attaches to the carport post-frames; obviously, the base rail is critical and foundational to the overall carport structure. We use 2x3x3/16” galvanized angle iron for our base rails to ensure a sturdy carport base.

The answer is, no, you don’t have to have the ground completely level for installation. We can modify the carport to the ground specifications.

An 18’x24’-24’x28’ carport is a good size range to adequately store 2 cars with additional room to spare. It largely depends on the sizes of your vehicles along with how much “roomy-space” you prefer around and between your cars.
